Bio remodelling injections

As we age, our body stops producing collagen and elastin which creates sagging skin without volume. The body also produces less hyaluronic acid with age, creating a structure-less appearance and speeding up the ageing process. Bio remodelling fillers* are an injectable treatment that aims to improve the patient’s health and provide aesthetic benefits. These fillers aim to reverse signs of ageing and rejuvenate the skin. This treatment is the first of its kind, having only debuted in Australia in 2022. The injections have over seven years of proven success overseas with 4.5 million treatments completed around the world.

Bio remodelling injections are made of stabilised, highly concentrated hyaluronic acid, a natural product that hydrates the skin and targets signs of ageing. The use of this natural product allows the injection to seamlessly blend into the skin and spread through the target area. The injections stimulate the skin’s ability to produce elastin and collagen to create a youthful complexion. This treatment focuses on remodelling and improving the appearance of the body by tightening the skin. Bio remodelling injections are not to be confused with dermal fillers, which aim to plump and volumize the skin rather than stimulating the skin’s ability to target visible elements of ageing. These injections are used to treat skin conditions such as wrinkles, fine lines, crepey skin, sagging skin and loss of elasticity. The neck, decolletage and back of hands are commonly targeted by the bio remodelling fillers.

Benefits of Bio Remodelling Injections

Like all skincare cosmetic treatments, bio remodelling has several benefits associated with it. Bio-remodelling injections combat signs of ageing and sun damage by increasing the skin’s hydration. These fillers restore the skin’s protective barrier by increasing the production of collagen and elastin. The treatment will leave your skin smoother, with an improved texture and tone. Patients find that their skin has more elasticity and therefore less sagging as the treatment also tightens the skin. After the procedure, the skin will lose Hyaluronic acid at a slower rate, a key sign of ageing.

For patients with acne and scarring we highly recommend bio remodelling injections as they repair damaged tissue and increase the skin’s health. Patients note seeing a reduction in visibility for fine lines, wrinkles, crepey skin and skin laxity. Bio remodelling is also used to improve the confidence of patients who are self conscious about their ageing skin. The procedure also uses a natural substance to improve the appearance of the skin, causing less risks overall. Bio-remodelling filler is a non-invasive treatment and is suitable for most skin types and ages. This treatment can also be used regularly and will still have natural-looking results. Downtime is also minimal for the bio remodelling injections.

What to expect

Before the procedure, NP Sheriden Dobson will examine your skin to determine you are suitable for this treatment. The treatment takes between 10 to 30 minutes to complete. A 2ml syringe is used to administer the substance. Our team will inject the product in around 10 different bio-aesthetic points around the face to allow the product to spread and take effect. If the product is administered in other areas of the body, the amount of treatment areas will be increased or reduced, as determined by NP Sheriden Dobson.

The bio-remodelling injections are used to treat premature-ageing signs such as the loss of hydration and laxity due the body losing Hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen. The body’s fat pads deteriorate with ageing which causes the skin to sag. These injections prevent the deterioration of the body’s fat pads and tighten the skin. The injections are made up of hyaluronic acid, which binds water to the skin and causes hydration. These fillers are noted to spread like honey from within to treat the target areas. Treatments are performed four weeks apart and we recommend a course of two treatments initially.

Results & aftercare for Bio Remodelling Injections

Patients describe the injection sites looking like insect bites after the treatment. This will subside a few hours after the procedure. The skin will have raised bumps after the treatment while the substance is spreading throughout your skin. Patients are able to return to their daily routine the next day after their treatment. We advise patients to avoid touching the treatment site and applying makeup to the skin for six hours after the procedure. We recommend avoiding exercising for 24 hours after the treatment. For five days post-treatment, patients should avoid using active products on the skin such as skin care products. Our team will provide you with a post-treatment aftercare plan to ensure you are taking the correct care for your skin.

Results can take between four to six weeks to show. Patients can expect their skin to show signs of hydration after three to five days. The stimulation of collagen and elastin can take a few weeks to begin, resulting in a gradual tightening of the skin. Patients will return for their second treatment four weeks after the initial treatment to maintain their results. The extent of the results can be seen after two months post- secondary treatment. Results last for approximately six months. Patients notice smoother, tighter skin after their procedure. The treatment creates a rejuvenation of the skin and increases the skin’s health over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I an ideal candidate for bio remodelling injections?

The treatment is suited to men and women who are experiencing signs of premature ageing. We generally recommend the procedure to patients above the age of 30 as this is when the signs become more visible.

What is the difference between dermal fillers and bio remodelling fillers?

Dermal fillers focus on increasing the volume of the treatment area and creating a fuller face. Bio remodelling fillers instead, focus on hydrating the skin, stimulating the production of elastin and collagen to tighten the skin, and creating ongoing improvements to the health of the skin.

How many sessions will I need?

Each patient and their needs will require a different amount of sessions. We recommend patients begin with two treatments spaced four weeks apart. The treatment area will also determine the amount of sessions needed. In your consultation, NP Sheriden Dobson will give you an estimate of the amount of treatments your unique case needs.
